WaterMhole
In this first Away from the Comfort Zone project, Paolo and Clare prepared a performance based on voice and electronics entitled “WaterMhole”.
WaterMhole is a composition in which three aspects play a central role: Water, Space, and Time. Water is the medium that allows spatial movements (e.g. the sea that separates and unites Italy and Malta ) and time shifts (poetry texts from different historical periods talking about water). The electronic materials consist of synthesized elements which are counterpointed by vocal samples in a musical discourse, sometimes in dialogue with the live parts performed by the singer.
Electronic Music Malta is Supported by the Arts Council Malta. This event was supported by the German Maltese Circle and the Goethe Institute and Air Malta and was held in conjunction with Spazju Kreattiv.
Filmed by Mark Dingli. Artistic Direction by Luc Houtkamp.
