Elektronika is a new project which aims to develop a historiography of electronic music in Malta. This subject was first discussed at Circuits 2020 during a talk about the history of electronic music produced in Malta.
This project was officially launched to the public on Saturday, the 6th of February 2021 at Studio A, Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta.
Introducing Elektronika
Michael Bugeja together with Dr. Toni Sant are the project’s research co-ordinators. During this event, they talked about the current crowd-sourcing research phase of the project. Elektronika is being curated digitally through a section in the M3P Foundation website. This event was presented and moderated by Edwin Balzan.

This event’s guest performer was none other than the renowned Maltese electronic music producer, Justin Meli also known as Sonitus Eco. He provided us with a DJ set which featured fresh new material from his forthcoming album.
