Sequenchill
Salvatore Muscat aka Sequenchill’s interest in music started with the disco beats of Patrick Cowley and Sylvester. He then moved on to the rave scene in the late 80s. Salvatore was amazed by the music being played in the chillout rooms in the UK and from then onward Sequenchill’s collection of ambient records started growing.
His main influencers are Pete Namlook, Mixmaster Morris, Dr Atmo, KLF, Move D, The Orb, Biosphere and Scanner. Salvatore’s chillout sessions got the ball rolling where he enjoyed playing his favourite music to a younger crowd which really appreciated what they were hearing.
This brought him recognition and he was invited to play in numerous popular events in Malta. These included the like of Earthgarden, Unfocused, Boomerang, Cubik, Statix, EMM, Avant Garde, Sliema Arts Festival amongst many others & as well the famous chillout sessions at Remissa. Salvatore follows the dub techno, deep house and oldschool scenes which will always have a place in his heart.
Throughout the years he featured in many guest sessions on radio programmes across the globe and features in a monthly 3 hour ambient show for specialised Asian radio stations. Through his Mixcloud page, Salvatore has a great fan base from all around world. His mixes range from ambient to chillout, specifically a particular favourite he calls ‘Techno for socialising’. The latter type of mixes contain dub techno and dirty techno with a hint of ambient and have gone down really well with his followers under his Sequen name.
