Owen Jay

Owen Jay has been involved with the music scene since the early 90’s. He produces music alongside alongside Melchior Sultana and he released music of staple labels such as Ornate, DeepartSounds, Minudeno and Moods and Grooves to name a few. He also releases music under the aliases Gauss ; a techno/electro hybrid co-produced alongside NatanH (LA), and Parallaks which is a modular synth project alongside Ed Blank.

His production style can safely be described as deep house; having roots firmly embedded in the early Detroit, New York and Chicago sounds. Batti Batti is his own homegrown label; a platform which features his music as well and numerous artists from across the globe. Owen is a modular synth enthusiast and a collector of ambient music. Owen has played for various Circuits programme events, his upcoming DJ set will see him warm up for the screening of the movie ‘God Said Give ‘Em Drum Machines’.
